We Do Intend To Raid

Based on how much we’re loving Rift, as well as how much time we’re spending online, we’ll be recruiting as a raiding guild. We still don’t want to rush people, as we enjoy being a casual, friendly guild, and we aren’t going to have required raiding. So recruiting is open to players who are interested in raiding, enjoy a fun, helpful guild, and who like a casual atmosphere with little to no pressure to perform to a standard. Within raiding, however, there will be additional requirements and guidelines to follow.

Day 1 of Rift pre-launch. I managed to log in from work on my laptop as soon as the servers came up. However, being at work, I only logged in long enough to create my character and make sure I got the name I wanted.
Upon arriving home, I launched the game and chose to log in to Faeblight.

I should note that the 7 hours is not accurate. If you have 1000 people ahead of you, it could be around 4 hours.

Trion is launching new servers at a pretty good pace. I’m hoping they strike a nice balance between compensating for the launch population surge and keeping the game from feeling empty when the tide goes out at the end of the free month. I’m also think I have good reason to hope that such an exodus will be on a much smaller scale than what I’ve seen in other MMO launches.

Despite the population, the game seems to run very smoothly. I saw a few people complaining about all the lag, but at most times I had around 100ms latency to a PST server from my EST desktop. I encountered only one moment of lag, and it was a solid minute or so of everything running in place. I was very surprised that it didn’t drop my connection.

Faeblight It Is!

The Official Server List has been announced! We will be playing on Faeblight, as Guardians, beginning Thursday.
Recruiting officers’ character names will be announced once we have them made.

Unofficial Old School Server

We found this thread about an old school server. It’s basically a call to all the Rift players out there who would like to see an MMO community like the ones that existed when the genre was young. We believe this is a goal worth working toward, and have decided to join the effort to create such a server. As mentioned in this post…

If Faeblight remains as is; simply return to the server and meet up with your new friends all over again. If Faeblight is renamed; members of the community will be rolling on the topmost RP-PvE server on the server list; whichever is alphabetically closest to the letter A.

So, we’ll be seeing you on Faeblight, or whichever shard takes its place.

A Rift Guild Is Born

We are Legends of Hearth and Hollow. It is our goal to create a fun and casual gaming community within Rift. Beta is coming to an end, and launch is just around the corner. We’ll be getting the guild established during the head start period, and we’ll be confirming the server we intend to play on as soon as possible.

We’d like to welcome Rift Guardians who come equipped with a sense of humor, an ability to treat each other with respect, and a desire to see what we can accomplish as a group. We hope to be able to assemble a good group of raiders when the time comes, but we’re not going to rush into it full blast. Adults have lives that limit play time, and the game has more to offer us than a level cap. Feel free to contact us in game or on this site with any questions.
